Who issues electrical permits: Village of Webberville, incorporated in 2003 in eastern Travis County. The village has its own development regulations: a 2021 City of Austin Environmental Commission motion says releasing 31 acres of Austin ETJ to Webberville would place the whole property under Webberville regulations. The village website (webberville.org) could not be reached, so its permit office details were not confirmed.
- 02
How to apply: Not confirmed. Contact the village for its permit process. For land outside village limits, Travis County requires a development permit for any development, and the Travis County Fire Marshal requires a plan review and permit for commercial buildings through tcfmopermits.com.

What to know locally: In October 2021 the City of Austin's Environmental Commission recommended releasing about 31 acres of Austin ETJ, all in the Colorado River floodplain, into Webberville's ETJ, saying it would simplify development review. Sites near the river should expect floodplain review. Around the village, Travis County enforces the 2021 International Fire Code from January 1, 2026, and the Fire Marshal requires a Certificate of Compliance before a facility opens.

Utility coordination: Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative. Bluebonnet's tariff lists Webberville among the incorporated cities it serves. Bluebonnet inspects the meter loop at every new and existing location before it connects service; a failed loop must be fixed and re-inspected at $125 per re-inspection. For commercial projects its developer package asks for CAD site plan files, load information, an information request form and a project schedule, and its cost estimates are good for 60 days.

Typical review time: Not published by the city.
