Electrical work has its own Electrical Permit Application ($175) and an Electrical Service Upgrade Permit Application. Fees are paid by check only, in person or by mail. Permits are not valid until fees are paid and subcontractor information is complete.

Inspections: Not published. The application authorizes the village or its representatives to inspect the property.

What to know locally: Volente adopted building codes by ordinance (posted as Ordinance 219) and lists its fee schedule in its code of ordinances. Floodplain work uses an LCRA floodplain form with an elevation certificate. Fees double for work started before a permit. A pre-application meeting can be requested for $322.50.

PEC asks for a 911 address, the service size in amps, a deed, and for commercial sites an approved site plan and plat.
